Dr. Scott Kramer, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
How Does a Pandemic Impact Our Food Supply?

Dr. Scott Kramer has degrees from Cornell University and Michigan State University, and is currently employed as a Veterinary Medical Officer with the USDA  Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. Previously, he worked as a swine veterinarian and served in Veterinarians Without Borders. While at the Livestock Research Institute in Uganda, he worked on improving sanitation and hygiene in the small holder pork value chain. He also spent time with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, focusing on the African swine fever platform. He continues to maintain his connection with MSU by contributing swine technical bulletins to the MSU Pork Quarterly and guest lecturing.
