Birmingham City Government

Jana Ecker is currently the incoming City Manager for the City of Birmingham, Michigan.  Ms. Ecker served as the Assistant City Manager for the past two years, and prior to that time, served as the Planning Director for the City of Birmingham.  Ms. Ecker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto, a law degree from the University of Windsor, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from Central Michigan University.  Ms. Ecker was previously the Director of Planning and Development for the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, after starting her professional career as an attorney practicing municipal law.
