Bruce Sachs has been a polio survivor since 1940. He graduated from college with a degree in Elementary Education  
and a Masters Degree in Leadership.  He was a public school teacher for 42 years.  He retired in 2003 and began volunteering at the Post-Polio Clinic as a greeter.  He began helping with the Southeast Michigan Post-Polio Support group  and in 2004 was elected First Vice Chairman of the Michigan Polio Network and in 2006 was elected Chairman of the Michigan Polio Network and continued in that position until 2018 when the network became part of Post-Polio Health International.  He continues to be a greeter at the clinic and co-facilitator of the support group.
 
Dianne Dych-Sachs has been a polio survivor since 1952.  She attended Macomb County Community College and Wayne State University.   She worked at St.Joseph Hospital for 20 years as a NeuroVascular technologist.  In 2004 was elected to the Michigan Polio Network Board of Directors,  and has served as Secretary for many years.  She became a greeter at the Post-Polio Clinic and a Co-facilitator of the Southeast Michigan Post-Polio Support Group, where she continues to serve.
